A little history of this original song:
The Phos Hilaron (“O Gladsome Light” or “Gladdening Light”) is an ancient Greek Christian hymn generally believed to have been composed in the 3rd century AD, or potentially earlier.

I contemporised this today using http://www.prompt-lee.com tools under Christian Worship, integrating various modern elements that resonate with today’s audiences. This approach allowed me to explore different musical styles, incorporate relevant themes, and reflect on contemporary issues, all while staying true to the foundational messages of faith and community that are central to worship. Utilizing these tools also enabled me to engage more deeply with the congregation, creating a worship experience that is both relevant and spiritually enriching.

Enjoy a modernising of an ancient tune.
