Here is a poem I wrote that was converted into Russian, as it inspired me to fit it into the way my imagination perceived it to be heard.  The transliteration is below: (No, I do not speak Russian, but it seemed to work for what I imagined.)

Verse 1

I will wait for you

In the deepest darkness

I will wait for you

Where the night forgets the moon

Verse 2

I will wait for you

When the frost nips at my cheeks

Even if the road is long

I’ll still be standing at the threshold

Chorus

Let the sky pile up its clouds

Pitch-black above the earth

But I won’t put out my little lamp

I hold a burning heart in my palms

I will wait for you

I will wait for you

Verse 3

In the silence of my room

In the cold and in the dark

I still hear footsteps

Your footsteps in my heart

Chorus

Let the sky pile up its clouds

Pitch-black above the earth

But I won’t put out my little lamp

I hold a burning heart in my palms

I will wait for you

I will wait for you

Bridge

Over hills or through valleys

Across green grass or dusty roads

Every step without you

Still leads me home somehow

Final Chorus

Even if a cloud has covered the sky

Clouds always pass in time

I stand by the window and watch

Until your silhouette draws nearer

I will wait for you

I will wait for you

I will wait for you…
